Science and evidence
Rigor with purpose
Science and evidence help distinguish intention from impact. At Lumental, we bring knowledge, context, and practice closer together to support more responsible choices — with clarity about what we know, what we are testing, and what cannot yet be concluded.
01 / How we evaluate
A single source does not settle a question. Quality, context, applicability, uncertainty, and impact must be considered together.
Identify, critically assess, and apply relevant knowledge without turning uncertainty into artificial certainty.
Consider the population, setting, benefits, risks, equity, feasibility, and limits of generalization.
Make sources, criteria, assumptions, procedures, limitations, and open questions visible.
Monitor performance, unexpected effects, and changes in knowledge so practices can be revised or discontinued when necessary.
02 / Our working method
Frame the problem, audience, context, and the decision that needs support.
Find relevant sources, assess their quality, and identify gaps or conflicting evidence.
Test in proportion to the risk, using criteria and limits defined in advance.
Document outcomes, unexpected effects, and decisions to continue, adapt, or stop.
03 / Clarity about what we know
Knowledge supported by reliable sources that are appropriate to the claim being made.
A decision guided by available evidence, experience, context, and an explicit assessment of risks and benefits.
An idea or relationship that still needs to be tested and should not be presented as a conclusion or demonstrated efficacy.
04 / Integrity in our claims
Technical performance does not automatically translate into a clinical benefit. Educational, wellness, or decision-support solutions must be presented as such. Claims about prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or efficacy require evidence appropriate to the intended use.
